Extremely busy March is under way.  National anthems for Phillies, Blue Jays, and Pirates, Strawberry Festival, Cancer survivor Celebration Picnic, church music festival, and Detroit for the taping of I'm Just Sayin'!  I'm loving it!!


Deja Blue will be at Skipper's Smokehouse April 3rd and I can't wait.  Deja Blue's page is still under construction, but we will have video soon from our Bascom's event.  Keep an eye out!

]]> http://heatherleighsound.com/blog.html/happy_new_year Mon, 02 Jan 2012 06:42:33 -0800 Learn & Live - Heather Leigh - My Blog! surgery http://heatherleighsound.com/blog.html/surgery Had a very succuessful surgery on November 23rd.  The neurosurgeon was able to free up the nerve root by removing some bone without cutting the disc, so I'm recovering very well!  My back pain that I was having before is gone and the post-op pain is tolerable.  Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.  NOW.......I leave in two days for the EMMYS!!!  So hoping to bring that beautiful statue home.  :)  I'll keep ya updated!

Emmy bound! http://heatherleighsound.com/blog.html/emmy_bound So incredibly excited to be nominated for an Emmy award!   Paradise Lost, co-written with Mike Deeson, was nominated by NATAS (National Academy of Television Arts and Science).  We will be traveling to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida for the ceremony in December to see if we've won.  SOOO excited!  Already have the dress, shoes, and accessories.  LOL  If you'd like to hear the song, you can see it under my Videos or download it under "Buy it Now" tab from iTunes.  I'll keep ya updated!

Where's my fall colors?!?!?!? http://heatherleighsound.com/blog.html/wheres_my_fall_colors Autumn is my favorite time of year! I love the cooler nights and I especially LOVE the colors! I've had a great kick-off to my fall with some fabulous concerts. It was an absolute honor to sing with my two oldest children and my hubby last night at Go2Worship to benefit the Suncoast Hospice.  :)  And you know, once fall arrives, Christmas is around the corner!!  Stay tuned for some upcoming October concerts and some exciting news that I'm just waiting to share.
